Weather
All flights/events are subject to current weather conditions. Conditions that negatively affect the ability to fly the balloon include winds, precipitation, lightening and fog. Pilots review weather forecasts from multiple sources, conditions as far as 50 miles away can affect the ability to fly in your area. They have to consider what the conditions will be like toward the end of the flight and landing as well as current takeoff conditions. The current conditions that are visible will always overrule any prior forecasts. The pilot will get a weather briefing from Flight Services before every flight. Surface winds need to be 10 knots or less for safe takeoffs and landings.
If a flight needs to be rescheduled due to weather, every effort will be made to reschedule as soon as possible. We will keep in communication with our passengers before the flight and we will advise you of any changes in the flight as soon as we have appropriate information.
